Palm Sunday, 2020
Sunday of the Passion commonly called Palm Sunday – the Beginning of Holy Week
“Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. “Hosanna in the highest”.
We follow Our Lord this week from the Glory of The Palms to the Glory of the Resurrection. United with him in his suffering on the cross may We share in His resurrection and new life.
Dare we say that, the whole world is presently sharing in His crucifixion, as we suffer the pains, wounds, and death of Coronavirus-19. May those who have died with Him, Rise with Him in Glory. Alleluia, Amen. Almighty God, whose Son Jesus Christ was crucified and entered into glory, may we, in this week, walking in the way of Christ, see the suffering of the world in the pattern and suffering of Christ, and as it brought him to the resurrection and new life, so may we be brought to new life in him, who is Resurrection and Life Eternal. Amen.
When I survey the wondrous cross on which the Prince of Glory died, my richest gain I count but loss and pour contempt on all my pride. Love so amazing, so divine, demands my soul, my life my all. Amen. (Issac Watts)
As the Sunday of the Palms leads us to the Friday of the Crucifixion and to new life in Him, so may we share in the Glory of his Resurrection and Life Eternal. Amen. In this Holy Week Pray for all of those suffering from Coronavirus 19 – and those who care for them. May God’s healing Grace be upon us all. Amen.
Lord Jesus, in this Holy Week: If we have died with Him, so may we rise with Him and claim new life in the Glory of the Lord. There is a green hill far away, outside a city wall, where the dear Lord, was crucified who died to save us all. We may not know, we cannot tell, what pains he had to bear; but we believe it was for us He hung and suffered there. (Cecil Frances Alexander)
Blessing to all, the sick, the weak and the dying, and may we all Rise with Him in Glory. Amen.
Blessings,
