Saturday Prayers: December 7th – 8th, 2019
Prepare the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.
All flesh shall see the salvation of God. Luke 3. 4-6.
Almighty God, who sent your servant John the Baptist to prepare your people to welcome the Messiah, inspire us, the ministers and stewards of your t ruth, to turn our disobedient hearts to you, that when the Christ shall come again to be our judge, we may stand with confidence before his glory; who is alive and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever Amen.
On Jordan’s bank, the Baptist ‘s cry announces that the Lord is nigh; awake and harken, for he brings glad tidings of the King of Kings. For thou art our salvation, Lord, our refuge and our great reward; without thy grace we waste away, like flowers that wither and decay. Charles Coffin – John Chandler
How the world longs for your birth, bringing news of human worth. Maranath, come, Lord Jesus come..
My soul waits for the Lord; in his word is my hope. Lord Jesus, come into the world of our time and bring to us that peace which the world cannot find. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be world without end. Amen. King of the nations, you alone can fulfil our desires. Cornerstone of our life, make opposing nations one; come and save us Lord, our God. Amen.
“Come, Divine Messiah, the world in silence waits.”
