Saturday Prayers: July 13th – 14th, 2019
5th Sunday after Pentecost
The words you have spoken are spirit and life, O Lord, you have the words of eternal life John 6. 63 – 68
Almighty God, you made us for Yourself, and our hearts are restless until they find their rest in you. May we find peace in your service, and in the world to come, see you face to face; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit One God, now and for ever. Amen.
Spirit of the living God, move among us all, make us one in heart and mind, make us one in love; humble, caring, selfless, sharing, Spirit of the living God, fill our hearts with love! Spirit of the living God, fall afresh on me. (Michael Baughen)
Father you create in us a yearning for your Kingdom, Keep us in your peace, that we may serve you in faith, hope and love. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
Lord God of hosts you created in Heaven a Kingdom of Love and Peace. May thy Kingdom Come, on earth as it is in heaven. We pray for those who govern the nations of the earth, Give them strength of mind and courage of heart to do your will and lead us all forward day by day in peace of heart and mind, until we come to your Everlasting Kingdom , Through and with Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen .
Lord Jesus, we bring before you all of those who seek shelter and peace from the storms of life; refugees, the outcast, the lonely the homeless, the sick, the weak and the dying. May we all find rest and peace in you, The Light of the world, the author and giver of our salvation. Amen.
Blessings,
