 In Prayers

8th Sunday After Pentecost

The word is very near to you; it is in your mouth and in your heart, so that you can do it. Deuteronomy 30 . 14.

Almighty God, you have made us for yourself, and our hearts are restless until they find their rest in you. May we find peace in your service and in the world to come, see you face to face; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

We cannot measure how you heal or answer every sufferer’s prayer, yet we believe your grace responds where faith and doubt unite to care. (John L. Bell)

A MODERN DAY MIRACLE – THANKS BE TO GOD

Indeed, we have seen this in the faith and action of the world coming together in the actions of those men and women who responded to rescue the boys in the Thai Caves, and for the faithful prayerful support and concern of people the world over. Heavenly Father we now pray your Blessing of Healing Grace upon the boys, their leader, their families, and all who worked to rescue, care and give of themselves in this miracle of our time. And to that we all say, Amen.

Daily around us pain and confusion, yet still we find your love in the darkness changing our anxious thoughts into trust. (From the Hymn ‘For all your Blessings’ – Alan Luff)

Almighty God, kindle we pray in the hearts of all people the true love of your peace, and guide with your pure and peaceable wisdom those who take counsel for the nations of the earth, that justice, peace, unity and love may abound among the nations, and the world filled with the knowledge of your love, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Grant to us Lord, faith, love, holiness, courage, wisdom, and the strength to live each day to the Glory of your Name, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Blessings,
