Saturday Prayers: July 6th – 7th, 2019
4th Sunday after Pentecost
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, let the word of Christ dwell in you richly . Colossians 3.15-16
Almighty God, your Son Jesus Christ has taught us that what we do for the least of your children we do also for him. Give us the will to serve others as he was the servant of all, who gave up his life and died for us, but lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
Dear Lord and Father of mankind, forgive our foolish ways! Re-cloth us in our rightful mind, in purer lives thy service find, in deeper reverence, praise. In simple trust like theirs who heard, Beside the Syrian sea ,the gracious calling of the Lord, Let us like them, without a word rise up and follow thee. (J.G. Whittier)
Lord, for tomorrow and its needs I do not pray. JUST FOR TO-DAY, JUST FOR TO-DAY.
Know this, The Lord himself is God; He himself has made us, and we are His. (from the Psalms)
Blessed are you, gracious God, creator of heaven and earth, We give you thanks and praise, through Jesus Christ our Lord. You created us for yourself; through you we live and move and have our being. Walk with us Lord, Jesus, give us daily strength for our daily living; Holy Spirit help us to see the goodness of the Lord, in the beauty of creation, in the land of the living, and in those who journey with us.
Give to us peace on earth as it is in heaven; For thine is the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory,
FOR EVER AND EVER.
Alleluia, Amen, Alleluia
