 In Prayers

Pentecost 2

The Kingdom of God is at hand; repent, and believe in the gospel. Mark 1. 15

Almighty God, without you we are not able to please you. Mercifully grant that your Holy Spirit may in all things direct and rule our hearts; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Lord we hear your word with gladness: words of love and life and freedom: you have spoken we rejoice: help us make their truth our choice ! Now in holy celebration for your word we worship you; spoken, written, known in Jesus, ours to-day to prove anew. (Margaret Clarkson)

Heavenly Father, we pray for the world, its leaders and its people; may we reflect you word, celebrate its truth and relate to all people with the love you have shared with us.

Jesus our Savior, enable us to carry your message of Salvation to all peoples; the message of peace, joy and love.

Holy Spirit breathe into us your power to unite in faith, hope and love and lead us forward day by day.

Father, Son and Holy Spirit live in us, that we may live in you. Amen.

Sunday, June 18th Father’s Day

Heavenly Father, we thank you for our fathers as we pray for the fathers of the families, of the world. Fill them with courage and strength to do your will, that they may care for their families with love and joy, celebrating the gift of life and life eternal and may they pass on from generation to generation the faith of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

Faith of our fathers! Holy faith! We will be true to thee till death.

Blessings,

nnDnn Archdeacon Ron Matthewman, Vicar General Emeritus
