Saturday Prayers: June 2nd – 3rd, 2018

 In Prayers

Second Sunday of Pentecost

Your word, O Lord, is truth; sanctify us in the truth. John 17. 17

Lord God of the nations, you have revealed your will to all people and promised your saving help. May we hear and do what you command, that darkness may be overcome by the power of your light; through your Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, now and for ever. Amen.

We pray for all nations, leaders and people and we pray for the United Nations Organization, that in it, and through it, we may find unity and peace recognized and shared. Guide the Leaders of the Nations and their Representatives as they work toward drawing the nations of the world into a peaceful family unity and working for the restoration of desolate, persecuted and rejected people. O Lord hear our prayer. Amen.

Lord, your word shall guide us and your truth provide us, teach us to receive it and with joy believe it. When our foes are near us, then your word shall cheer us, word of consolation message of salvation; word of mercy giving courage to the living; word of life supplying comfort to the dying. (William Baker)

For the healing of the Nation’s God we pray with one accord.

O God whose desire is that all the people of the world should be one human family, living together in harmony and peace: Lord, let it begin with me.

Grant that in my life, in my home and nation, by my witness of love and peace “thy will may be done on earth as it is in heaven” May my prayer of words turn into actions of love, peace and commitment, through my life may others come to know that the love of God reigns on earth as it does in heaven. Amen.

Blessings,
