Saturday Prayers: March 2nd – 3rd, 2019

 In Prayers

Last Sunday After Epiphany

God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life John 3: 16

Lord God of the nations, you have revealed your will to all people and promised us your saving help. May we hear and do what you command, that darkness may be overcome by the power of your light; through your Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

To God be the glory, who great things has done! God so loved the world, freely sending the Son, who yielded his life an atonement for sin, and opened the life gate that all may go in. Praise the Lord! Let the earth hear God’s voice, Praise the Lord! Let the people rejoice! O come to the Father through Jesus the Son, and give God the Glory who great things hath done! (Fanny Crosby)

Glory be to God the Father who created us , to Jesus Christ His Son who redeemed us, to the Holy Spirit who Sanctifieth us. May His Holy Angels guard and protect us, and may we find our rest and peace with God. Amen.

Living God, may we feel your presence with us in our daily living; make our ears to hear you word, our voices to proclaim your presence, our hearts to express your love, and our lives to live your peace .

Lord, make us to be instruments of your love and peace in the world, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Wednesday, March 6th – Ash Wednesday – The First Day of Lent

Create in me a clean heart , O God.

Almighty and everlasting God, you despise nothing you have made and forgive the sins of all who are penitent. Create and make in us new and contrite hearts, that we, worthily lamenting our sins and acknowledging our brokenness, may obtain of you, the God of all mercy; perfect remission and forgivenes; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Blessings,
