 In Prayers

Fourth Sunday in Lent

I will arise and go to my father, and I will say to him: Father I have have sinned against heaven and before you. Luke 15.18

Gracious Father, whose blessed Son Jesus Christ came from heaven to be the true bread which gives light to the world, evermore give us this bread , that he may live in us and we in him, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God; now and for ever. Amen.

Bread of heaven, on thee we feed, for thy flesh is food indeed; ever may our souls be fed with this true and living bread, day by day with strength supplied through the life of him who died. (Josiah Conder)

From the Lenten Intercession:

We pray for the peace of the world, that a spirit of respect and reconciliation may grow among all nations and people, we pray to you Lord.

For the poor, the persecuted, the sick, and all who suffer, for refugees, prisoners, and all in danger; that they may be relieved and protected, we pray to your Lord.

For all whom we have injured or offended, we pray to you Lord.

For grace to amend our lives and to further the reign of God, we pray to you Lord.

O God of peace, forgive us and help us to forgive each other, for all the hurt we have brought into our lives, and into your world. Let your healing grace and love rest upon the wounds of the world. Deepen our love in a new understanding of each other, in family life, and in the world. Lord, fill us with your love and peace. Amen.

O God, whose desire it is that all the people of the world should be one human family, living together in harmony and peace, hasten the day when war shall be no more; when your will will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Amen.

Jesus calls us! By thy mercies, Saviour may we hear thy call, give our hearts to thine obedience, serve and love thee best of all.

Blessings,
