Saturday Prayers: May 4th – 5th, 2019
Third Sunday of Easter
Lord Jesus, open to us the scriptures, make our hearts burn within us while you speak. Luke 24. 32
Alleluia! Christ is risen The Lord is risen indeed. Alleluia. May his grace and peace be with you. May he fill our hearts with joy. Alleluia. Amen
O God, your Son made himself known to us in the breaking of bread. Open the eyes of our faith, that we may see him in his redeeming work, who is alive and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
One bread, one body, one Lord of all, One cup of blessing which we bless. And we though many, through- out the earth, we are one body in this one Lord. ( John B Foley)
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Save us from the time of trial, and deliver us from evil. For the Kingdom, the power and the glory are yours, now and for ever Amen.
Heavenly Father, we bring to you the problems of the world, the difficulties in which people live. Fire and flood, famine and disease, war and inhumanity. Help us to live together, aware of each others problems, sharing the gifts which you provide, accepting each other, as you have created and us accepted us, and given us the love to bind us together, as one family, united through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Lord Jesus, Bless the caregivers, fill them with your love and peace and enable all of us to to fulfill your work of love and peace in this world. Amen
Glory to God, whose power working in us, can do infinitely more than we can ask or imagine. Glory to God from generation to generation, in the world, in the church, in family life, in and through Christ Jesus, for ever and ever. Amen.
Go in peace to love and serve the Lord. Amen, Amen and Amen.
Blessings,
