 In Prayers

26th Sunday after Pentecost

Watch at all times, praying that you may stand before the Son of man. Luke 21. 36

Almighty God, you sent your Son Jesus Christ to be the Light of the World. Free us from all that darkens and ensnares us, and bring us to eternal light and peace; through the power of him who is alive and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Lord, the light of your love is shining, in the midst of the darkness is shining; Jesus, Light of the World, shine upon us; Fill this world with the Father’s glory. Flood the nations with grace and mercy; Lord, let there be light and peace. (Graham Kendrick)

Merciful God, we pray for peace in our hearts and homes in our nation and in the world. Lord, let there be Light. We pray for the United Nations Organization, for the leaders of the nations, that they may build peace, freedom and unity in the world. Lord, let there be Light. Lord, let there be Light.

We pray that we in our lives may witness to your love and peace and build good will and unity within our own household and community. Lord, let there be Light. Amen.

Lord God, of our fathers, the Father of us all; We pray your Blessing upon our Community and upon our family life. Give us health, strength and courage to live together in peace and unity and to love one another according to your holy will, and in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Our Lord God, we thank you for your love and blessings upon us, for health and safety, for the ability to work, rest and play. For the gift of family and friends and all that is gracious in the lives of our community. Help us to do our part for the benefit of each other and to the Glory of your name; through Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour Amen

Glory to God, whose power working in us, can do infinitely more than we can ask or imagine. Glory to God from generation to generation, in the world and in Christ Jesus, for ever and ever. Amen.

Go in peace to love and serve the Lord.

Blessings,
