 In Prayers

Last Sunday after Pentecost – The Reign of Christ

Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Blessed is the Kingdom of our Father David that is coming. Mark 11.9 -10

Almighty and everlasting God, whose will it is to restore all things in your well beloved Son, our Lord and King, grant that the peoples of the earth, now divided and enslaved by sin, may be brought together under his gentle and loving rule, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

And we all share with our American Friends on Thanksgiving Day – November 28th.

Heavenly Father we give thanks for all your goodness and loving kindness you bestow upon us. For Life, Health, Safety, Family and friends. We pray for our Country and its people, may we live together in peace ,caring for each other fulfilling our stewardship of life. Enable us to take our place in the leadership of our Country and share with the people of the world in stewardship and peace.

Now thank we all our God, with heart and hands and voices. Who wondrous things hath done, In whom his world rejoices. Who from our mother’s arms hath blessed us on our way with countless gifts of love, and still is ours to-day. Amen (J. Crueger)

Almighty God, you have made us a royal priest in the kingdom of your Son our Saviour Jesus Christ. Make known his victory through us, we pray, that all the world may see his light. We ask this in the name and for the sake of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Stir up, we beseech thee, O Lord, the wills of your faithful people, that we, plenteously bringing forth good works, may by thee be plenteously rewarded; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Lord Jesus, guide our feet into the way of peace for alone we do not know which way to turn.

Strengthen our understanding of who you have called us to be. Give us quiet courage, unfailing love, and a willingness to do your will.

Lord, you know the secrets of our hearts, shut not your merciful ears to our prayers, but lead us day by day until we come to your everlasting kingdom.

Strengthen us by your Holy Spirit and make us worthy of your calling, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Jesus directs you to Go forth into the world in peace, be of good cheer, hold fast that which is good, render to no one evil for evil, love and serve the Lord and the God of Peace will be with you.

And to that we say – Amen, Amen and Amen.

Blessings,
